My son is horse obsessed. And has been for nearly three out of his almost four years – which in kids years is alot.
I was so excited to find this book at my local library and it’s definitely a gem find. Very simple text with gorgeous, almost impressionist style illustrations tells the story of what a little girl (or boy) would do if she had a horse. She would feed him, hug him, and tame him. Then they would be a fearless team who could do anything.
Why I like it:
This book is a wonderful work of art with a message of friendship and bravery. George loves it because it stars his favourite animal.

This is a fun, rhythmic story that not only has fun building trucks but also teaches the days of the week.
A crew of animals spend the week creating an old lot into something fun – what could it be? My favourite part are the moles and worms that move out for a week and come back to fun new homes.

My kids love any rendition of this song and so a book where Old MacDonald drives different types of vehicles is a win-win. A front-loader, a motor grader, a cement mixer to name a few.
The illustrations are so fun with the whole farm working on the vehicles and fun sounds for you to make with your kids.
Hope you enjoy these picks! And as always,
